The two nations are suffering after two devastating earthquakes struck on Monday, February 6.
As reported by The Guardian, close to 12 000 people have been killed in the tragedy.
Barcelona's response to the disaster
FC Barcelona have now joined in relief efforts, offering their support to all affected.

The club confirmed on its website that together with its Foundation, they would be supporting the victims through humanitarian organisations currently operating on the ground in the affected areas.
Barcelona encourages fans to donate
The Spanish giants also encouraged donations toward the UNHCR, Red Cross, Save The Children, UNICEF or World Vision. All the organisations are working on the ground in the affected areas.
Joan Laporta's message
Barcelona president Joan Laporta released a statement in which he pledged the club's support towards relief efforts.
“From FC Barcelona and the Foundation we wish to offer our support to all the victims and persons affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. We send our solidarity and we stand with you in such difficult times," he said.
"At FC Barcelona we are encouraging people to make donations to the humanitarian organisations with which we regularly work, and whose teams are currently operating in the affected area," Laporta added.

Mesut Ozil has joined the group of sports stars rendering assistance to victims of the earthquake which struck through Turkey and Syria, Sports Brief reported.
Since the news broke, the global football community and the world at large has poured out heartfelt messages to the victims of the quake disaster.
Famous footballers are coming to the aid of the Turkey-Syria earthquake victims with former Germany international Mesut Ozil being the latest to offer a helping hand.
Ronaldo donates to quake victims
Aside from Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo has teamed up with his former Juventus teammate, Leonardo Bonucci to help the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday morning.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 rocked southern Turkey and northern Syria, leaving more than 10,000 dead, Sports Brief reported.
World leaders and personalities have continued to send in their tributes and well wishes, as the two countries grapple with one of the worst disasters in recent times.
