Kamaldeen Sulemana has shared his pride at representing Ghana on the international stage, after playing his first World Cup in Qatar.
The 20-year-old featured in all three games as the Black Stars were eliminated at the group stage.
Having sealed a move to England in the winter transfer window, the former Stade Rennais attacker disclosed that playing for Ghana comes with huge pressure.
“It’s a great honour. We have 30 million people in the country and you’ve chosen, it’s a great honour. Once you’re on the pitch, there’s no holding back, you just have to give your all. There are so many people looking at you, so many people depending on you," he told Southampton media.

Sulemana admitted there was pressure, but said one could not excel without that same pressure.
“Without pressure, we don’t go out of our comfort zone. So it’s a great honour to play for the national team and I look forward to playing more with them.”
Despite making all appearances at the World Cup as a second-half substitute, Sulemana ended the World Cup as the fastest player.

The 18-year-old left Denmark at a young age to sign for the Ligue 1 side, when he was just beginning his professional career abroad.

Ghanaian winger,Sulemana has targeted Premier League survival with Southampton after joining the English club in January.
The 20-year-old signed a four-and-a-half year deal to join the Saints from French club, Stade Rennais last month.
However, the St Mary's outfit are rooted bottom of the English Premier League, with half of the season done.
