Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo on Tuesday night, 7 February, made history as he helped his Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal to beat Flamengo in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Even though the former Manchester United player was unable to score in the match, it must be noted that Ighalo caused trouble for the defence of the opponents.
Going into this encounter, Flemengo were the favourites to win due to their name and previous participation in the tournament, but they were shocked by the Saudi Arabian side.
Ighalo could have gotten the opener for his side in the 2nd minute when he was set up by Vietto, but the Nigerian missed the chance.

When did Al Hilal score?
Salem Aldawsari netted the first goal for Al Hilal via a penalty in the 4th minute before Pedro restored parity for Flamengo in the 20th minute.
Aldawsari scored his second goal also via a penalty in the 45th minute and it was Vietto who scored the third goal in the 70th minute.
Pedro scored Flamengo's second goal in the 90th minute, but they were unable to pull a comeback in the duel according to the report on Brila FM.
Ighalo could join Bendel Insurance
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles veteran, Odion Ighalo disclosed that he could be making a move to Nigerian League giants, Bendel Insurance FC as a retirement destination.
