  • Manchester United are likely to lose at least seven players in the summer transfer window
  • Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof headline a long list of players who could be offloaded
  • The Red Devils are expected to enter the market for new signings in a move that could see them have cash in on some of their squad members

Manchester United could part ways with as many as seven players during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have been going from strength to strength under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag, who joined them in the summer of 2022.

United are currently the only English team who are firmly in four competitions this term, with the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup among the trophies they are challenging for.

However, despite their impressive form, Ten Hag is expected to further strengthen his squad in the upcoming transfer window.

The move could see United part ways with several players in a bid to create space for new arrivals and to raise more funds to boost their transfer kitty.

According to The Mirror, Ten Hag is prioritising the signing of a big-name striker and potentially another midfielder.

Sports Brief takes a look at nine players Man United could offload in the summer:

1. Harry Maguire

The Man United skipper has struggled to justify the huge transfer fee that the Red Devils forked out to land him from Leicester City.

The England international was widely linked with a January exit, with Inter Milan initially believed to be the favourites to sign him.

2. Victor Lindelof

The Swedish defender has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.

Lindelof is almost running down his Old Trafford contract, a scenario that could tempt United to cash in on him in the summer.

3. Brandon Williams

The Man United academy graduate is already behind the likes of Maguire and Lindelof in the pecking order.

With playing time, not in sight, Williams could be tempted to seek an exit in a bid to get more game time elsewhere.

The youngsters has played just once so far this season.

4. Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The former Crystal Palace right-back has fought his way back into the Man United XI in recent weeks.

However, The Mirror claims that the Englishman could still be on the way out of Old Trafford, with former club Palace the favourites to sign him.

5. Anthony Elanga

Elanga is no doubt one of the hottest prospects to emerge from the Man United academy.

However, he has seen his playing time dry up in recent weeks under Erik ten Hag.

The youngster has managed just seven starts so far this season and could be tempted to seek a move away.

6. Eric Bailly

The Ivorian is currently out on loan with French giants Olympic Marseille.

While the centre-back has a year and a half left on his Old Trafford deal, he seems to have little future with the club, especially considering the competition awaiting him at the club should he decide to return.

7. Alex Telles

Like Bailly, Telles seems unlikely to ever return to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian left-back is currently on loan with Spanish giants Sevilla.

Reports suggest that Telles has also failed to make himself a regular in the La Liga.

Antony struggling for United

Sports Brief earlier reported that Brazilian winger Antony is struggling for consistency on the right side of United's attack after his €95m move from Ajax.

He has been slammed by former Premier League striker Darren Bent for being a YouTube footballer who is only focused on doing showoffs rather than playing for the team.

Fans will hope the impending return of Sancho will make the Brazilian sit up as the English man could play on either side of the attack.
