Eintracht Frankfurt boss, Oliver Glasner has reportedly emerged as the firm favourite to take over from Graham Potter if Chelsea sacks the Englishman.

Potter has found himself on the receiving end in recent weeks following the Blues' frustrating run of form.

The west Londoners are currently placed 10th in the Premier League standings with just 29 points, a massive 10 points off a top-four spot.

According to The Sun, Chelsea have won just eight of their 20 Premier League outings, with seven matches ending in defeats.

The run has left Potter under increasing pressure, with a section of fans calling for his sacking.

Chelsea keen on Glasner

Reports now suggest that Chelsea have identified Glasner as a possible replacement for Potter, should they part company with the ex-Brighton boss.

Bild claims that the Blues initially made contact with the Austrian while hunting for a successor to Thomas Tuchel, before they eventually settled on Potter.

The publication adds that the Bundesliga boss continues to be on Boehly’s shortlist in the event he decides to pull the trigger on Potter.

Glasner has enjoyed a significant rise to prominence after impressing since his arrival at Eintracht Frankfurt back in 2021.

The tactician led the German top flight side to a Europa League triumph last season.

Fans will hope that should Glasner get the job, he can turn the fortunes of the Blues around at long last.

Jose Mourinho eyeing Chelsea job

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on AS Roma boss, Jose Mourinho being interested in returning to Stamford Bridge for what would be a third time.

Reports claim the Portuguese manager is unhappy at the Italian club after they failed to back him with new signings.

Mourinho had two successful stints with the Blues under the leadership of Roman Abramovich and is keen to try again.
