Xavi Hernandez is utterly shocked by the situation involving Dani Alves.
The former Barcelona defender was arrested during the past week, and charged with indecent assault.
As reported by CNN, the Brazilian defender was jailed without the option of bail after he was accused of indecent assault.
The incident allegedly took place in a club in Barcelona in December 2022.

His former teammate, Xavi, still can't believe the situation. Speaking ahead of Barcelona's game against Getafe, Xavi reacted to the news of Alves' arrest, Goal reported.
“It’s difficult to comment on a situation like this. I am surprised and in a state of shock. It’s a question of justice. Justice will rule whatever it is. I feel very bad for Dani," he said.
Xavi and Alves played together for seven years for the Blaugrana, winning numerous trophies. Six years later they were reunited at the club, with Xavi this time serving as the team coach, while Alves returned to play.
Alves jailed without bail
Dani Alves has been provisionally detained in prison without bail after being accused of assaulting a lady in a Barcelona nightclub in December 2022.
The 39-year-old defender was arrested by Spanish police on Friday, January 20, and has been remanded in prison after being heard by a judge, Sports Brief earlier reported.

FootballAlves will be confined to prison until the outcome of his trial is determined after public prosecutors asked the presiding judge for Alves to be held in custody without bail for the duration of their investigation.
Dani Alves’s contract terminated
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Mexican club, Pumas has terminated the contract of Brazil international Dani Alves following the latest scandal rocking the veteran defender.
The 39-year-old has been arrested in Spain after he was accused of assaulting a woman in a Barcelona nightclub in December 2022.
Pumas chairman Leopoldo Silva announced in a brief statement to the press on Friday, January 20 that the veteran Brazil international is no longer part of the club.
