Gerard Pique cosied up to former Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend Irina Shayk at a star-studded NBA game at the Accor Arena Bercy in Paris.

Pique - who recently announced his retirement from football - broke up with popstar Shakira in June 2022 after the former Barcelona defender was reportedly caught cheating.

The hostile nature of their break-up has created friction between the former lovebirds, with the Colombian singer recently releasing a diss track to cast shade on Pique and his new partner.

But on Thursday, January 19, Pique looked in good spirits as he cuddled the supermodel Irina Shayk during Detroit Pistons' clash against the Chicago Bulls.

In a video posted on Twitter, the pair looked a bit too close for comfort when they posed for a photo together during the game.

Pique couldn't wait to wrap his arms around the 37-year-old's waistline as photographers snapped away.

Shayk broke up with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2015 after a five-year relationship.

Meanwhile, Pique's alleged infidelity was reportedly discovered after Shakira noticed a half-eaten jar of jam in their shared refrigerator.

It was reported the 45-year-old singer returned home from travelling to find an empty jam jar.

The union between popular musician Shakira and Barcelona defender Pique has come to an end, with the couple said to have been leading separate lives for quite some time now.

The stars were together since 2010 and their union was blessed with two children, Milan and Sasha, as Sports Brief reported.

A statement made by the public relations agency representing Shakira confirmed the couple was no more, as quoted by the Mirror.

Shakira, Pique reach custody agreement

Sports Brief earlier reported that Shakira and Pique have reached an agreement over the custody of their two children following their break-up, their representatives said on Tuesday.

The 45-year-old Hips Don't Lie songstress plans to move to Miami with the couple's two sons, and Pique will reportedly have the boys for 10 days each month plus during the school holidays.

The couple, who had been living together for years on the outskirts of Barcelona, announced in June 2022 that they were separating amid cheating allegations.
