During their days in the Premier League, these two players were known for their superb and fascinating styles of play in the midfield.
Toure was a like a rock in the midfield of the Citizens, and same applies to Matic at Chelsea even though he went on to play for Manchester United.
According to a video spotted on TikTok, Toure was seen explaining that Matic was in his pocket during his days in England.

There is no doubt about the fact that Toure had a glorious career in the Premier League with Manchester City where he spent eight years netting 59 goals.
He also won three Premier League titles and two FA Cups at the Etihad stadium.
Matic had to stints at Chelsea with the first between 2009-2011, while the second was in 2014-2017. He won the Premier League twice and one FA Cup.
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure revealed that he would like to patch up his differences with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

FootballToure and Guardiola shared a frosty relationship over two spells in England and Spain. Toure did not enjoy significant game time as he would have liked under Guardiola.
At one point, the former Ivory Coast captain said that Guardiola did not like African players. In an exclusive interview, he expressed his interest in apologizing to Guardiola personally claiming that his comments were taken out of context.
Toure has in the past reached out to Guardiola, but the proven tactician hasn't responded to his messages yet.
