Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has urged the Old Trafford club to do everything in signing Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Nigerian international has been in scintillating form for Napoli this season, scoring 12 goals already in the Serie A so far.
His goals have helped the Partenopei to set their sights on the Scudetto which the club last won in 1990 during the time of Diego Maradona.
United are in a desperate search for another striker after the club terminated Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in December 2022.

They have been linked with Osimhen, who is also on the radar of other clubs including Chelsea, Newcastle United and Arsenal.
Cole insisted that the 24-year-old would be an ideal addition to the Manchester United squad. He told Betway:
“It’s interesting that they’ve brought in somebody like this now because I’d thought he’d want a different profile in the summer.
“You want to be getting crosses into Weghorst, rather than getting him away in behind.
“I think Victor Osimhen at Napoli is very good and could be the long-term natural fit. The question is whether Napoli would be prepared to let him go.
“He’s rangy, got a good first touch, scores goals and is a decent size as well. I watched him play against Liverpool and he was more than prepared to link the play and then run in behind.”
