Mexico's World Cup Squad 2022: Is Ochoa playing in this World Cup?
FootballFans Slam Lloris for Performance in Man City’s Comeback Win Over Tottenham
- Tottenham surrendered a two goal lead to lose 4-2 against Manchester City
- Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris did not cover himself in glory after he was beaten near post by Mahrez for the third goal
- The ex-France international has now come under heat on social media for yet another disastrous outing
Antonio Conte has many problems at Tottenham, replacing goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is one of them and probably one of the most important, as he has become a weak link and liability in between the sticks.
Two goals in the closing two minutes of the first half put Tottenham in the lead at the Etihad Stadium, and two goals in the opening two minutes of the second half drew Manchester City level.
Pep Guardiola's men scored two more to make the scoreline even more embarrassing for an error laden Spurs, as Riyad Mahrez's blistering second half helped overturn things in their favour, as reported by Yahoo.
Spurs fans slam Hugo Lloris
As reported by Football London, the goalkeeper was not the only player responsible for the disastrous collapse. Wingback Ivan Periodic was totally outclassed by Mahrez, but it was the French man who got the most stick.

Football@AlexBatt wrote:
''It's criminal how Hugo Lloris doesn't get seriously scrutinised more. He's arguably one of the worst goalkeepers in the Premier League, but 'he's won a World Cup' so he avoids criticism. Spurs need to boot him out ASAP if they want to progress.''
@ajith_vege tweeted:
''I am and will always be a Lloris fan. People did not rate him enough when he was so good for us. Didn't get the respect he deserves when he won the world cup. But all things said and done, it's time for us to let go of him. He's not premier league quality anymore.''
Lloris retires from international football
As Sports Brief earlier reported, Hugo Lloris retired from international football, after captaining France to the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup which they lost to Argentina.
He spent 14 years with Les Bleus and won the 2018 FIFA World and the 2022 UEFA Nations League and felt it was time to focus on his club football.
However, at 36 and with increasing errors and scrutiny, it could be time for him to call it quits on his football career entirely, but he is also open to one more offer from his home country.
