Ademola Lookman Nets Brace As Atalanta Beat Spezia in Coppa Italia

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman on Thursday evening, 19 January, continued with his impressive performance this season as he scored brace for Atalanta in the space of two minutes.

Lookman was in stunning form as Atalanta defeated visiting Spezia 5-2 in a Coppa Italia battle.

The hosts started the game impressively and waited until the 10th minute before Lookman gave them the opener via a superb goal.

In the 12th minute, the 25-year-old grabbed his second goal for Atalanta.

When did Spezia score?

Spezia got their first goal in the 14th minute through Albin Ekdal, and it was in the 38th minute that they scored their second goal. Daniele Verde netted.

Ademola Lookman scores brace

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman was on Sunday night, 15 January, in the best form of his life netting a brace for Atalanta in their 8-2 win over Salernitana.

After missing Atalanta’s win at Bologna last week as he was left on the bench for the entire duration of the game, Lookman returned to his side's starting lineup and he did not disappoint.

It was an incredible night for the Nigerian striker ans his teammates who are now occupying sixth position on the table after 18 games.

Jeremie Boga scored the first goal for Atalanta in the 5th minute before Nigerian star Lookman doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Lookman got his second goal for Atalanta in the 54th minute as they recorded perfect 8-2 win over their visitors.

He has reached a career-high nine league goals and only Victor Osimhen with 12 has scored more Serie A goals than Lookman this season.

Osimhen storms the street

Sports Brief also reported how fans in Italy have been spotted hailing Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who stormed the streets to unwind ahead of his side's next game in the Serie A.

The Nigerian star has been the shining light for Napoli this season in all competitions as he keeps firing in the goals for the Italian giants.

Osimhen's amazing form this term has also made him a transfer target for clubs in the Premier League with Manchester United particularly reported to be interested.

The former Lille star was in joyous mood while greeting the fans on the street.
