FootballBesiktas Boss Delivers Worrying Update on Ex Tottenham Player Dele Alli
- The worrying times continue for former Tottenham player Dele Alli in Turkey
- The Everton star on loan at Besiktas has not yet been able to revive his career
- The club manager has delivered a worrying update on the English midfielder
Dele Alli was one of the brightest English prospects at Tottenham Hotspur and was twice awarded as the PFA's Young Player of the Year, but not many today remember he still plays football or know where he plays.
He began declining at Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino and failed to excel under Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason or Nuno Espirito Santo, before Antonio Conte pushed him out in January 2022.
Frank Lampard then signed him for Everton and loaned him out to Besiktas six months later. Even in Turkey, he has not turned his career around, and the club has delivered a worrying update on him.
Problems for Alli in Turkey
As reported by Mirror, the Turkish club has explored the option of terminating the loan agreement with Everton and sending Alli back to England, but the Toffees are reportedly not interested.

Besiktas manager, Senol Gunes - who has given Alli just one minute of action since he took charge in October - said after the Cup loss to Ankaragucu that the midfielder can't play at the moment.
"Alli has had a good career, but he doesn't deserve to play at the moment,'' he said as quoted by the Sun.
As revealed by the Guardian, the Turkish side had a buy option of £6-million on or before January 1, 2023 and £8-mil any time after that - but neither of these options seem likely to happen.

FootballAlli sends message to football
Football may have fallen out of love with the former MK Dons midfielder, but he certainly has not fallen in love with football despite the struggles of his career.
As Sports Brief reported, after being booed off by Besiktas fans after substitution in the first half last month, he took to Instagram to hail his footballing career.
Alli wrote about the sport saving his life, hence his continued love for it, and many still hope the 26-year-old can turn things around.
