Dogo Shettima, an aide to the governor of Borno State in Northern part of Nigeria, has reacted after spotting a photo of a man watching football in a mosque.
Shettima expressed displeasure and asked parents to raise good children, as he wondered how this incident had come about.
He expressed disappointment about how such an act could even happen in a holy place in the first place.
Linda Ikeji reports that Shettima made the comment while reacting to the trending photo, which was apparently taken in the mosque while the Imam was preaching.

Posting the photo online, Shettima wrote:
“Innalillahi waa inna ilaihir raji’un. Where are we heading to? In the mosque, while the imam is preaching and giving sermons on teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW. We need to focus on our children's upbringing, not [the] material world.”
Fan gives thanks after bet
Meanwhile, a Nigerian football fan was spotted on social media, running into a mosque for thanksgiving, after staking just N800 to win a massive N38-million in a bet.
It was an amazing moment, as people gathered at the betting shop to see which games the man had played to make him win such a huge amount.
After rushing to the betting centre to check the results, he immediately ran into a nearby mosque to perform ablutions, Sports Brief reported.

Sports Brief also reported on Ahmed Musa, captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, donating N600,000 to a mosque in Cameroon, during the last AFCON tournament.
The former Premier League star is a devoted Muslim, and has many times posted about his faith and belief to his many followers on social media.
According to reports by Pulse and Platinum, Musa and Sadiq Umar had prayed at the Central Mosque in Garoua since arriving in Cameroon for AFCON last year.
