Ahmed Musa who is the captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has donated the sum of N600,000 to Central Mosque in Garoua, Cameroon ahead of Nigeria's clash against Tunisia at AFCON.

The former Premier League star is a devoted Muslim and has many times displayed his faith and believe to his followers on social media.

According to the report on Pulse and Platinum, Ahmed Musa and Sadiq Umar have both been praying at the Central Mosque in Garoua since they arrived Cameroon for the AFCON.

The report added that the money Ahmed Musa donated is to support the ongoing building project of the Central Mosque in Garoua.

How many games has Ahmed Musa played at AFCON?

Super Eagles of Nigeria have played two three games so far at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon winning all matches.

Ahmed Musa has only played against Sudan at the ongoing AFCON and will hope to get more playing time in the competition.

When will Nigeria face Tunisia in the knockout stage?

Nigeria will go into another battle at the AFCON this time around against Tunisia with the hope of them securing a win to the next round of the competition.

The last time Nigeria and Tunisia met was also at the AFCON in 2019 when the Super Eagle beat them to win bronze.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how eggheads at the Nigerian Football Federation are considering hiring Augustine Eguavoen as permanent Super Eagles coach following his wards' performance at the AFCON.

Players of the Super Eagles have done well so far in the ongoing AFCON competition winning their first three games in the Group stage and Nigerians are happy.

Super Eagles started their campaign at the AFCON with a 1-0 win against Egypt, they also defeated Sudan 3-1 in the second game and wrapped up Group D with a 2-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau.

The former international was hired as the interim coach of the Super Eagles in December 2021 following the sacking of Gernot Rohr who was in charge for five years.
