However, details have now been revealed about the nature of their separation, and explaining why Shakira opens a fridge door in the music video for her new release Te Felicito.

According to Daily Star, inside said fridge she finds the head of Rauw Alejandro - she collaborated with the Puerto Rican singer on the track - and amateur detectives suggest that 'the truth was found in the fridge'.

It was reported the 45-year-old singer returned home from travelling to find an empty jam jar.

Those details added together suggest that an outsider might have been in the home, with footage emerging of Pique's new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti spotted in the family home before their split.

Pop star Shakira has aimed a dig at her ex-partner and his younger lover in leaked lyrics from her new song, Sports Brief reported.

Shakira and Pique, who recently announced his retirement from football, broke up in June 2022 after the former Barcelona defender was reportedly caught cheating.
