Towards the end of the game, former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fernando found the late in what looked like a last minute equalizer but the goal was ruled out for offside after intervention from VAR.

The decision typically left the home players seething and at full time, their manager Sahin had to rush to the pitch to quell the situation.

In sensational scenes, players tried to get a word to the match officials, but their own manager proved to be the obstacle.

As reported on The Mirror, Antalyaspor later released a statement demanding audio recordings from the league.

Referee Kadir Saglam was branded a ‘novice’ in the scathing club statement as he was accused of ‘making up penalties’.

“We demand disclosure, we believe that TFF’s understanding of transparency requires it." The statement went on.

Sports Brief also reported on how Aston Villa star Leon Bailey was inconsolable at full-time after missing chance in the derby.

With the game finely poised at 1-1, Bailey was presented with an extraordinary chance to take all three points for Unai Emery’s side.

He rounded Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa, but his resulting effort somehow trickled wide, to the disbelief of fans at Villa Park and across the world.
