  • David Moyes lasted less than one year when he was appointed the Manchester United boss in July 2013
  • The Scotsman was handed the role as a replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson, who had retired at the time
  • Moyes' sacking came after United's disastrous run of form that saw them finish seventh in the Premier League that season

West Ham United boss David Moyes has admitted he would be open to returning to Manchester United if the opportunity comes.

Moyes spent about 10 months at the helm of affairs at Old Trafford before he was sent packing after a string of poor results.

Moyes ready for Man United return

While reflecting on his troubled spell at Man United, the West Ham manager conceded that managing the Manchester club 'is a great experience.'

The 59-year-old went on to reveal that he would be open to returning to Old Trafford in a different capacity.

"I don’t think it’d ever be in a role as manager that’s for sure. My time’s gone," the Scotsman told Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast.

"But I always love to be involved in football and hopefully someone somewhere along the line will want to use my experience when my time’s up being a football manager," he added.

Man United mock Man City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United taunted Manchester City with a hilarious TikTok video of Marcus Rashford not touching the ball in the build-up to Bruno Fernandes’ goal on Saturday, January 15.

The two Manchester clubs have enjoyed a tense rivalry in recent years, in which City have always come out on top most times.

But on Saturday, things changed as United came from behind, albeit in controversial circumstances, to beat City 2-1 to move within a point of their neighbours.
