The Tottenham vs Arsenal clash ended on a negative note with a Spurs fan caught on camera appearing to kick Aaron Ramsdale at full-time of the encounter.

The Gunners were in fine shape during the mouthwatering North London derby played on Sunday evening, January 15, as Mikel Arteta's men silenced Tottenham 2-0.

Metro UK reports that Hugo Lloris handed Arsenal the lead in the 14th minute with an embarrassing own goal before Martin Odegaard’s brilliant long-range strike doubled their advantage before the break.

While Antonio Conte's men grew into the match after the interval, they were unable to break Arsenal's stubborn defence as the tie ended in a 2-0 win for the visitors.

Ramsdale kicked by fan

There was a sudden twist of events after the final whistle of the chaotic derby as Ramsdale was kicked by a Tottenham fan under unclear circumstances.

The Mirror reports that the Arsenal keeper was celebrating his side's victory in front of the home supporters at the final whistle when the incident occurred.

The English shot-stopper is said to have gone to collect his stuff behind the goal when he was hit by a kick from one of the Tottenham fans.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's crucial win saw them open their lead at the top of the standings to eight points.

Zinchenko backs Nketiah

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has backed Eddie Nketiah to successfully fill the void left by Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus, who joined the Gunners in the summer has played a central role in the club's impressive start to the Premier League.

The Brazilian star has already scored five goals in the English topflight to help the north Londoners launch a serious title bid.
