Statement made by Benzema

"We don't need to take photos to say we're friends, the photos are for Instagram or Twitter, that's another world.
"We didn't have time to greet each other because I was training and immediately he also went to train. I hope to see him tomorrow at the stadium and be able to talk to him for a while."

Ronaldo’s first competitive game

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Cristiano Ronaldo's much-vaunted Al-Nassr debut is in the offing as supporters brace themselves to witness the Portuguese superstar for the first time in an official game.

Ronaldo, who will turn 38 in February, had his Al-Nassr bow delayed due to a two-game ban slapped on him by the English FA back in November.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is however billed to make his competitive debut on January 22 against Al-Etiffaq.

The first batch of tickets for Ronaldo's first official outing for Al-Nassr against Al-Ettifaq sold out in less than an hour.

The Portugal captain has received rave reviews from Al-Nassr's assistant coach Stephane Jobard for his humility and willingness to get going on the pitch.
