Javier Tebas has aimed a swipe at the English Premier League, sensationally claiming it is not a financially sustainable model.
Tebas has cut a controversial figure in European football, continually criticising Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain for their funding.
The 60-year-old's criticism of the Premier League stems from last summer's spend by clubs from the most marketable league in the world.
Premier League clubs reached a total summer transfer window spend of over £2 billion compared to La Liga's £404 million, per Evening Standard.

"There is no sustainability in the Premier League. It is not a financially sustainable model," Tebas said as quoted by Eurofoot.
"They’re financed by the owners but with enormous amounts of money and that is distorting the market."
Meanwhile, the La Liga chief is preparing to report the EPL to UEFA for causing ‘distorting the transfer market'.
Premier League dominates in revenue
The Premier League brings in far more revenue than any other European league, per FOS.
The combined revenues of the English top-flight climbed to a record $6.2 billion in the 2021-22 season, nearly as much as the next two leagues combined.
La Liga came in second among European leagues, with a total haul of $3.5 billion for the season while the Bundesliga followed with $3.1 billion.
In fourth position, the Serie A made $2.3 billion, and Ligue 1 earned $1.7 billion.
Tebas angered by Premier League spending

Tebas believes the Premier League’s spending in the recently closed transfer window is unsustainable and can lead to transfer inflation if not checked by UEFA.

La Liga chief slams Mbappe
Sports Brief earlier reported that La Liga president, Javier Tebas is still holding grudges toward Paris Saint-German forward Kylian Mbappe over the Frenchman’s refusal to sign for Real Madrid.
Mbappe left Real Madrid stunned during the summer transfer window after he decided against a move to the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners in a last-minute change of heart.
According to the Daily Mirror, Javier Tebas has now taken a swipe at Mbappe and Ligue 1 by insisting the 2018 World Cup winner decided to stay in a league that is not competitive.
