Dutch striker Wout Weghorst has reportedly offered to pay a compensation fee to Besiktas in order to seal a dream Manchester United move.
Weghorst is said to be a top transfer target for the Red Devils, with the Manchester club keen to sign a prolific striker during the January transfer window.
According to The Sun, the Netherlands international has heavily been linked with a loan move to Old Trafford to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed in November.
However, the publication claims that United have had challenges in getting the deal over the line owing to the complexities surrounding the striker's situation at Besiktas.

Weghorst is currently on a season-long loan at Besiktas from Burnley, with the Turkish giants understood to be demanding a compensation fee in order to end the forward's stay at the club prematurely.
Weghorst ready to pay for compensation fee
Fresh reports now suggest that the Netherlands international is willing to pay the compensation fee if that is what it will take for Besiktas to allow him to join Man United.
Journalist Gokhan Dinc claims that the 30-year-old could be allowed to depart Besiktas later on Tuesday, January 10, ahead of his imminent move to the Theatre of Dreams.
The development comes at a time Besiktas are said to have lined up a replacement for Weghorst.
It is believed that the Turkish side are eyeing a move for Vincent Aboubakar, whose deal was recently terminated at Al Nassr after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
