The restrictions in place could not prevent former Miss Croatia and Instagram sensation, Ivana Knoll from catching the eye of the world with her outfits that appeared to sometimes cross the line with the Arabian nation culture.

Knoll appeared at several matches at the World Cup, mostly dressed in red and white checkered outfits in semblance of the Croatia colours. The sultry snaps helped her grow her Instagram page to a billion views in the World Cup month.

The Instagram model had her pictures going viral on social media during the tournament in Qatar, leading many to her pages and consequently leading to her meeting celebrities and media personalities including Drake and Piers Morgan.

Her activities helped her grow her audience and she shared her one-month impressions to her story. Knoll's views surged an astronomical 921% in just the month of December, almost hitting one billion views.

Despite receiving criticism for allegedly disrespecting the Qatari culture, she was loved by the locals she met. Knoll revealed she had both young and old take pictures of her and with her, as she claimed in an interview with Piers Morgan, quoted by Daily Star.

''I was very surprised and very happy that they accepted my clothing. I didn't have any bad reactions, and I was very happy about that because they accepted us, the people from other countries, and I was happy about this,'' she said.

As of the time of filing this report, she has 3.6 million followers on Instagram and according to Marca, had just 700,000 before the World Cup began.

As the daring model was getting public attention on her socials, she was also getting private attention and revealed footballers messaged her privately, as reported by Sports Brief.

The 30-year-old claimed international players at the tournament sent her private messages, though she did not reveal the extent to which the approach went nor from whom they were.

Knoll also revealed some players of the teams faced by Croatia at the tournament sent her apologies in advance, but she only replied after the majority had in fact lost.
