Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo scored for the second game running to force an FA Cup third round replay against Swansea City.

The Ghanaian international scored late as the Robbins avoided elimination from the Cup competition.

Semenyo has been Bristol City's main man in 2023, scoring all of the club's goals in the new year.

Swansea City, who travelled to Ashon Gate, stunned the hosts after scoring early in the game through Joel Piroe.

Bristol City laboured in search of an equalizer in the first half, but the Swans were resolute defensively.

After the break their efforts counted as Andreas Weimann found Semenyo with a fine cross. The lanky forward bundled home to ensure Bristol City remain in the competition.

The game will be replayed at Stadium with the winner progressing to the fourth round.

Semenyo is reportedly on the radar of AFC Bournemouth, who are set to make a move for the 22-year-old in the winter transfer window.

The Black Stars forward was voted Bristol's Man of the Match after the game at Ashton Gate.

Bournemouth eye move for Semenyo

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English Premier League strugglers AFC Bournemouth are interested in signing Ghana international, Antoine Semenyo in the winter transfer window.

The Cherries have started talks with Bristol City over the acquisition of the talented forward, as they beef up their squad in the second half of the season.

Semenyo, who scored in Bristol's 1-1 draw at Coventry on New Year's Day, has six months left on his current deal and the Robbins are likely to cash in on the Ghanaian.

English-born Ghanaian attacker Antoine Semenyo has revealed that he was ready to get back to his best after recovering from injury late last year.

The Bristol City forward has been in top form for the Robins in the English Championship, and he is the player with the most goal contribution in the division since December.

Semenyo who was speaking to Sky Sports revealed confidence has been key to his return to form.
