The medics raced onto the pitch to attend to the Super Eagles forward, who was then stretched off and had to be replaced by Abdoulaye Doucoure on 51 minutes.

Meanwhile, Manchester United started the game on a bright note with Antony opening the scoring as early as the 4th minute when he tapped home Marcos Rashford’s cross from close range.

The visitors drew level courtesy of a blunder by goalkeeper De Gea who allowed Conor Coady to tuck home from close range.

Complete Sports reports that Coady then turned villain as he poked home Rashford’s cross into his own net to put the home side 2-1 ahead.

And in the 97th minute, Rashford converted from the penalty spot to register United’s third.

Iwobi enjoying life at Goodison Park

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian attacker Alex Iwobi has been Everton's best player so far this season having rediscovered a new lease on life under former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Iwobi joined Everton from Arsenal ahead of the 2018/19 season and his earlier days were underwhelming but admits he's enjoying life now at the club.

He applauded the Everton fans for sticking by him in difficult moments and helping his confidence grow back with their support and praise when necessary.
