Nigerian musician Oxlade, known in real life as Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, has shared his views on how to get the best from Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Liverpool right-back has come under intense criticisms from fans for his poor defensive display for the club this season.

Oxlade, who seems to be a fan of Liverpool, believes the 24-year-old England defender could be used by manager Jurgen Klopp as a midfielder.

"Trent is not good defensively and I think he will rather much play better in midfielder," Oxlade told Young Filly on Prodirectsoccer.

"He has distribution, long range passing, crosses and box-to-box midfield play," he added.

The talented singer is in the UK for business having performed on several stages during the festive period. Oxlade topped charts with his hit record KULOSA.

He recently featured Cuban-born American singer Camilla Cabello on the remix of KULOSA.

Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool are having a very tough season, after suffering another defeat to Brentford in the English Premier League on Tuesday evening.

The Reds will next face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup on January 7, 2022.

Liverpool defender Van Dijk injured

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool will have to find their spark without the services of Virgil Van Dijk, as the defender is set to be out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

Van Dijk, who featured at the World Cup for the Netherlands, lasted only 45 minutes on Monday in the Premier League clash against Brentford.

Red's boss Jurgen Klopp had said after the 3-1 defeat that he did not think the issue was too serious, and Van Dijk himself wanted to stay on for the remainder of the game.

Liverpool star trolled by fans

Liverpool’s summer signing, Darwin Nunez was brutally trolled by fans and popular pizza restaurant chain Domino's for an awful display against Brentford on Monday.

The Reds began their year in the worst possible manner as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against The Bees, who are proving to be the upset kings so far this season.

Having signed from Benfica for £85 million in the summer, there was huge expectation for Nunez to take the Premier League by storm.
