Bailey apologises for his miss
Soon after the match, the winger took to his social media with a heartfelt apology.
"I am really sorry Villans. I feel at blame for not coming away with all 3 points tonight. Its really hard to take & I'm very disappointed in myself.”
How the game went
As reported by The Sun, Unai Emery’s charges went into the game knowing victory would place them within a point of Chelsea.
However, it was Wolves who drew first blood thanks to Daniel Podence’s brilliant strike in the first half. Villa got back in the game thanks to Danny Ings’ strike with 12 minutes remaining.
Despite the miss, Bailey had the full backing of his manager, who said at full time:
"I’m happy with him, he was crying but it is good because he was feeling. He was taking responsibility to score and he didn’t do it. He can feel this responsibility.”
