Viral video of former Chelsea star Didier Drogba being made to pray to God for help by Cristiano Ronaldo during the World Cup clash between Portugal vs Ivory Coast has emerged.
Ronaldo who recently moved to Saudi Arabia started for Portugal in their Group G opener in South Africa, whilst Drogba was on the bench for his nation.
When the encounter reached the 11th minute, Ronaldo received the ball, chopped away from Yaya Toure and unleashed a rocket towards goal from about 35 yards out.
Goalkeeper Boubacar Barry was in goal for Ivory Coast and he was lucky that the ball rattled off the post. It would have been the best goal of the tournament if it went it.

How Drogba felt on bench
In the video seen, Drogba had his hands on his head and chest and thanked God that Ronaldo's effort did not go inside the net.

How the match ended
Drogba was introduced in the 66th minute of the game, but the former Chelsea star was unable to help his side get a win as the tie ended in a goalless draw.
Ronaldo and Portugal progressed to the round of 16 before they were sent out of the tournament by Spain.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a huge setback to his highly anticipated Al-Nassr debut.
The Portuguese superstar was officially unveiled as a player of the Saudi Arabian club on Tuesday at Mrsool Park in Riyadh and was billed to make his debut as soon as Thursday, January 5.
However, Ronaldo has been barred from making his debut against Al Tai FC after failing to have served a two-match FA ban.
Ronaldo was punished after hitting a phone out of the hand of an Everton fan.
He reportedly slapped the hand of Jacob Harding, a young Everton fan, as he stormed down the tunnel at Goodison Park last April. The boy's phone was damaged as a result.
