Lionel Messi has returned to Paris Saint-Germain for training, days after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Argentina beat former champions, France in the final in Qatar.

There is nothing else remaining - as far as football is concerned - that Messi has not won and the Argentine is now left to enjoying his football until he retires.

According to a photo spotted on Twitter however, Kylian Mbappe's younger brother Ethan did not seem happy at seeing the veteran return to the training ground.

Ethan and other players gave Messi a guard of honour on his PSG return.

Why did Ethan look gutted?

It is assumed he looked upset because his elder brother had lost to Messi in the World Cup final in Qatar. Mbappe was superb in the match against Argentina, netting a hat-trick.

The final came down to penalties, with the 2018 champions beaten 4-2 on penalties.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi were not in attendance. Hakimi played all games for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, where they reached the semi-final of the competition, while the Frenchman is on leave.
