Following the emergence of Enzo's New Year's Eve photos, fans of Benfica have unleashed their fury at the young midfielder.

"Get out, go away and don't come back," one post read - as reported by Spanish outlet AS.
Another angry fan told Enzo: "You're very unprofessional to be in a club as big as Benfica."

A seriously peeved fan slammed Enzo while urging Benfica to ship him out quickly.

"What a lack of respect for Benfica at a crucial stage of the season. Take the £105m and go to hell. No player is above Benfica."
"Ungrateful," one fan said. "If it wasn't for Benfica you wouldn't have gone to the World Cup."
And another scathing reaction said: "For me, don't play for Benfica again! What a lack of professionalism for a club that helped him go to the World Cup and the Champions League. Wake up boy."

According to Record, Enzo, who won the Young Player award at the World Cup, could be handed a hefty fine after breaching disciplinary regulations at Benfica.

Enzo equals Messi World Cup record

Enzo Fernandez was on target for the first in a World Cup match as Argentina cruised to a 2-0 victory against Mexico on Saturday.

The Benfica midfielder curled the ball into the top right corner past Guillermo Ochoa after receiving the ball from Lionel Messi after a short corner.

At 21, Fernandez has now become the youngest player to score for Argentina at a World Cup since Messi in 2006, ESPN reports.

Chelsea keen on Enzo transfer

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea have reportedly opened personal talks with Enzo Fernandez over a possible switch to Stamford Bridge, after agreeing to pay Benfica’s huge release clause to land the midfielder in the January transfer window.

Enzo was among the standout players for Argentina during their successful 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar.

Metro UK reports that the Benfica star played a central role as La Albiceleste secured their first World Cup title since 1986.
