Chelsea keen on Enzo's signature

Daily Mail reports that the Blues have taken the first step towards signing the Argentina international, after opening talks over a potential transfer.

The publication reports that while Benfica are reluctant to part ways with their star player, they believe the London club will meet his £106-million release clause.

So much so that The Sun claims that Chelsea representatives have met with both Benfica president Rui Costa and super-agent Jorge Mendes to discuss the move.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle are the other Premier League clubs who have shown interest in the 21-year-old.

However, Liverpool are understood to have prioritised the signing of Jude Bellingham, while Man United are yet to make a move.

Chelsea confirm Fofana deal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Molde striker David Datro Fofana will be joining Chelsea in coming days, after the Blues reached a deal with the Norwegian club.

The Graham Potter-tutored side announced on Wednesday evening that the Ivorian youngster will join them at the start of 2023.

Fofana could potentially be slotted straight into the starting XI as a cover for Armando Broja, who is currently out with an injury.
