There had been viral claims that seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi would be immortalized by seeing his face used in Argentina bank note.
But Fernando Alonso, senior manager of communications and community relations at the Banco Central De La Republica Argentina (BCRA), has refuted those claims by telling BOOM and quoted on GOAL: “There is no truth in this. This topic is not on the work agenda.”
It was earlier reported that Argentina's Central Bank is considering putting Lionel Messi's face on the country's bank note.
