Adeyemi was born in Munich, Germany, to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother.

He made his debut for the Germany senior team in a 6-0 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification win over Armenia on 5 September 2021, coming on as a late substitute.

So far this season, he has featured in 11 games for Dortmund and yet to score.

Nigeria tipped to win World Cup

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Patrice Motsepe, who is the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), expressed confidence that the Super Eagles of Nigeria can win the FIFA World Cup.

This statement comes days after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Argentina emerged champions after hard-earned victory over defending champions France.

In the history of the World Cup, no African nation has ever won the title, although Morocco made the continent proud this year by reaching the semi-final.

Morocco defeated Portugal in the quarter-final of the 2022 World Cup, before they lost 2-0 to France in the semi-final.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria did not qualify for the 2022 World Cup, after losing the play-offs against Ghana - much to the anger of many local fans after the second game in Abuja.

The Black Stars did not do well at the World Cup, as they were bundled out in the group stages.
