In heartwarming photos making the rounds on social media, seen by Sports Brief, the veteran midfielder went into the stands to his proud father as they shared a warm embrace.
The Croatia captain later joined his teammates and the technical staff to continue with their celebrations in the dressing room.

Luka Modric has been spotted playing with his children on the pitch on Saturday evening, 17 December, just minutes after Croatia defeated Morocco 2-1 in the World Cup 3rd place tie.
