Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala has hailed the incredible performance of Lionel Messi during Argentina’s World Cup semi-final against Croatia.
Messi produced a blockbuster performance, as La Albiceleste defeated the 2018 runners-up at the famous Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The former Barcelona captain gave his side the lead from the spot and also assisted Julian Alvarez in one of his goals, as the South Americans won the tie 3-0.
Messi was outstanding during the game, making brilliant contributions to the performance which saw him win the Man of the Match award.

The world stood at its feet to once again enjoy the veteran's magic, as the 35-year-old delivered a masterclass on the night.
After the game, Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala praised the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, both in Pidgin English and Yoruba dialect.
She wrote in the Naija parlance:

Di Maria consoles Luka Modric
Meanwhile, Angel di Maria consoled former teammate at Real Madrid, Luka Modric after the veteran's Croatia was knocked out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup by a rampant Argentina.
Winger di Maria was an unused substitute, as Lionel Messi inspired the South Americans to a 3-0 victory in Qatar.
Modric, who was substituted in the second half, watched from the bench as the referee whistled for the end of the match.
