  • Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea in the upcoming window
  • Graham Potter could make do with a new attacker following injury to Armando Broja
  • Arsenal have in the past expressed interest in Vlahovic but he chose Juventus instead

Chelsea have reportedly expressed interest in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in January.

The Blues have only one fit striker in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after teenage striker Armando Broja picked up a long-term injury. Kai Havertz can deputise as well, but he prefers to play a secondary role.

Vlahovic is a former transfer target of Arsenal, but he snubbed them early this year to join Juventus. The striker had broken through the ranks at Fiorentina and forced top European clubs to take interest.

Football London reports that Chelsea are among the clubs to have made contact with agents of the Serbian hitman.

The 22-year-old could be open to leaving Turin soon, given the financial conundrum the club has found itself in. The Old Lady is facing investigation and could be relegated to Serie B if found culpable of a misdemeanour.

Arsenal still keen on Vlahovic

Arsenal are also said to be considering going back into the market for the striker. Gabriel Jesus is facing a long spell of time out, after injuring his knee while on international duty with Brazil.

Vlahovic has seven goal involvements in the Serie A this season. He was part of Serbia's squad for the World Cup where he scored once, as they were eliminated after finishing third in their group.

Vlahovic denies having an affair

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Serbian striker Vlahovic has vehemently denied rumours that he is sleeping with the wife of his country's reserve goalkeeper, Predrag Rajkovic.

Reports were rife that Vlahovic has yet to play consistently for his country because of alleged illicit relations with Rajkovic's wife, Ana Cakic.

However, the striker has stronlgy denied those claims and revealed he has been dealing with a groin issue. He was expected to play a starring role up front alongside Aleksandr Mitrovic but only had a few minutes on the field.
