Dusan Vlahovic Denies Having an Affair With Teammate’s Wife

• Vlahovic was expected to lead the line upfront with Aleksandr Mitrovic but has not been fit enough

Serbia and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has vehemently denied rumours that he is sleeping with the wife of Serbia's reserve goalkeeper, Predrag Rajkovic.

Reports were rife that Vlahovic has yet to play consistently for his country because of alleged illicit relations with Rajkovic's wife, Ana Cakic.

However, the striker has denied those claims and revealed that he has been dealing with a groin issue.

He was expected to play a starring role up front alongside Aleksandr Mitrovic, but so far, he has only played for 25 minutes.

Ahead of Serbia's game against Switzerland, Vlahovic addressed the affair rumours, terming them as absurd.

"Evidently, these people are bored and have nothing better to do, because they are frustrated or angry, but working against the national interest of the team at the moment is obviously their main job right now," he said as quoted by Talk Sports.

Vlahovic passed himself fit to start in the crunch tie, with Serbia facing elimination if they don't beat the Swiss.

Sports Brief previously reported that Vlahovic continued to cement his status as one of the upcoming 'proper' free kick takers in the sport.

The striker scored an audacious free kick from way out, to put Juventus on their way to a 2-0 victory over Spezia on Wednesday night. It was the second successive game in which the Serbian hitman scored from a free kick, after his heroics against AS Roma.

New signing Arkadiusz Milik came off the bench to score his first goal for Juventus to confirm maximum points. Vlahovic needed just nine minutes to score for Massimiliano Allegri's side.

Belgium rumoured split by affair

Sports Brief has also reported that Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois haven't spoken in years. Fans online have claimed that 'private reasons' mentioned involve De Bruyne's ex-girlfriend, Caroline Lijnen.

In 2014, Lijnen revealed she had cheated on KDB with Courtois. She claimed it was payback of sorts, after De Bruyne had admitted he had cheated on her with her best friend.

The two (Lijnen and De Bruyne) were in a relationship for three years before breaking it off due to the affair. KDB was devastated by the news at that time, but Daily Mail reported he and Courtois had patched up their issues.
