Argentina's next game

Messi and his teammates are now waiting for the winner of the second semi-final game between Morocco and France for Sunday's final.

France are the reigning champions, and they are looking forward to qualifying for another final.

Messi equals Matthaus’ record

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi equaled Lothar Matthaus' 25-game record of World Cup appearances while featuring against Croatia in the semi-final of the 2022 edition.

This is a big record for the Argentine international who has so far been impressive for his national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

There is no doubt about the fact that Messi is a man of records considering the many he set and achieved in his glorious career both for club and country.

The former Barcelona captain has, however, not won the World Cup title and will hope he can do that before he retires from the game.
