In the statement dated 30.10.2018, FIFA stated that Nyantakyi's ban "comes into force immediately".

It revealed that the former GFA Boss would not take part in any football-related activities at both the national and international level.

Nyantakyi's ban follows the investigative piece by Ghanaian and worldwide acclaimed journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, dubbed 'Number 12'.

The investigative piece after its premier in June, sparked heated controversy in Ghana, with many people calling for the head of Nyantakyi for being found in a "bad manner".

"As a consequence, Mr. Nyantakyi is banned for life from all football-related activities (administrative, sports and any other) at both national and international level. Additionally, a fine of CHF 500,000 has been imposed on Mr. Nyantakyi," part of the statement reads.
