Jude Bellingham has finally cleared the air on what he told Harry Kane, after the England captain missed a crucial penalty in their World Cup quarter-final loss against France.
With the Three Lions 2-1 down with just a few minutes to go, Kane was given an opportunity to draw the game level, but blasted over from 12 yards much to the agony of English supporters.
Bellingham was one of the first ones to walk up to the Tottenham striker after the miss, with the 19-year-old now revealing what he told his captain in the heated moment, Sportskeeda reports.
“I’ve seen him deliver time and time again since I’ve been in the England set-up, and on this occasion he didn’t score, but I think he’s done more than enough for this team and his country."

Bellinghame was quoted as saying that he wanted to remind Kane that he could still win his side the game.
“It wasn’t to be in the end, but for me, there’s no feeling towards the captain that’s negative after all he’s done for this country.”
Kane had earlier drawn England level from the penalty spot to make it 1-1, but failed in his second attempt as the Three Lions were eliminated from the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney told England captain Harry Kane to ‘keep his head up’ after missing a penalty in his side’s 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-final 2-1 defeat to France, Daily Post reports.

FootballRooney, who shared his thoughts on Twitter, revealed he was absolutely gutted for the lads but was satisfied at the way they played the tournament, saying they should also be proud.
The former Manchester United striker also congratulated Kane on equalling his record for England at the World Cup, while urging him to stay strong.
