- Despite being tournament favourites, Brazil saw their dreams ended in a penalty shootout
Brazil's dream of a record-extending sixth World Cup title ended after a shock penalty loss to Croatia, in the quarter-final of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Selecao were favourites for the tournament and boasted perhaps the most talented squad of the Mundial, but it was not meant to be their time. Such is the cruel nature of football.

He has now taken to his Instagram to pen a lengthy and well thought-out message for departed head coach Tite, describing his initial impression of him and his thoughts after they worked together.

Neymar's message to Tite
Before he became the Samba Boys' manager, Tite coached in the Brazilian league. His team played against Neymar at Santos many times before the star forward moved to Europe.
In translations of his Instagram post, Neymar admitted to not liking Tite at first but said destiny brought them together. The veteran says he has realised the talent of Tite as a coach and his character as a human being, saying he would always regard him as one of his best ever managers.
"You will always be one of the best coaches I've ever had or will have; I will always hype you up. We had beautiful moments but we also had moments that hurt us a lot, and the latter will hurt us for a long time..."

FootballNeymar's message after elimination
Sports Brief earlier reported that Neymar shared a message after Brazil's World Cup elimination, where he poured his heart out and admitted how difficult it will be to forget.
He claimed he would rely on family and friends to regain his strength, also speaking on how much it hurt to see a dream crumble and not be realised.
