An emotional video has emerged on social media of Moroccan players consoling Cristiano Ronaldo, after the final whistle of their quarter-final match against Portugal.
The North Africans booked their place in the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after beating the Europeans 1-0 on Saturday, 10 December, to set up a big clash against reigning champions, France.
Going into this clash, the Selecao were tipped to progress based on how they defeated Switzerland in the knockout, but the Atlas Lions reigned supreme.
Portugal coach Santos decided to start Ramos again ahead of Ronaldo against Morocco, but he was unable to break the defense of the African giants.

The veteran striker came on in the second half and had two shots on target, but the former Manchester United star was unable to help his country.
