The assignment of keeping the PSG wonder boy quiet fell on the team in general. Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka assisted Walker in congesting the space for him.

It worked well in the end for the Three Lions as the 23-year-old failed to stamp his authority in the match.

Nevertheless, there was one instance where the former Monaco winger obliterated the Manchester City defender in a sprint., according to Sportbible.

After Harry Kane levelled matter from the spot, Mbappe was found isolated with Walker and there was only one thing on his mind. Mbappe took off with the ball but Walker was close by.

The Frenchman outpaced the Englishman and then his attempted cross was unsuccessful.

Surprisingly, Mbappe played a part in France's opening goal but was kept quiet for most of the match.
