Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has reacted to reports that Ronaldo is not celebrated in his home country Brazil.
Ronaldo's former teammate Kaka revealed that the 2002 World Cup winner is just viewed as 'fat man walking down the street' in the South American country.
Gyan took consolation from the report as he seems to compare it to his situation in Ghana.
The legendary Ghanaian striker took to social media to share his sentiment.

"Even my idol? Hmmmm I see. Understandable. Smh," Gyan posted on Twitter with a caption from the story.
Ronaldo is revered around the world following his exploits during his playing days. The 'El Phenomenon' as he is affectionately called won the World Cup twice, and was three times world player of the year.
The 46-year-old enjoyed a glittering career, winning several titles with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Gyan remains a legendary figure on the continent. He holds the record for the most goals by an African team at the World Cup.
The former Sunderland player is Ghana's all-time top scorer with 51 goals.

The Ghana legend is in South Africa working as a pundit on SuperSport TV for the World Cup currently ongoing in Qatar. Gyan missed the tournament after failing to make the Black Stars squad.
However, the 37-year-old showed his quality after joining a group of pundits on SuperSport TV to play against Kaizer Chiefs legends.
