The Netherlands pulled off a stunning last-gasp goal in their quarterfinal clash with Argentina at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

Argentina stormed to a two-nil lead in Friday's tie however the Dutch managed to claw back from the jaws of defeat.

A well-weighted pass from Lionel Messi was finished by defender Nahuel Molina to hand La Albiceleste a well-deserved lead.

But an inspired substitution from Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal changed the destiny of the game. Lanky striker Wout Weghorst halved the deficit in the 83rd minute to put the cat among the pigeons.

Holland then did the unthinkable from a freekick situation when Koopmeiners set up Weghorst with virtually the last kick of the game, GOAL notes.
