The Time Traveller's prediction

A user on TikTok, @worldcuptimetraveller, has circulated a television clip which shows who will get their hands on the World Cup trophy.

In a video posted on TikTok, spotted by Sports Brief, the 'Time Traveller' claims Messi and Argentina have no chance of winning the World Cup. He instead states that Brazil will beat France 2-1 to win this year's Mundial.

He captioned the video: “Brazil just beat France at the 2022 World Cup final. I'm a time traveller. Helping you out like last year.”

In the video, Tottenham forward Richarlison and Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos were the scorers for Brazil, while Antoine Griezmann netted for France.

Doubts over Time Traveller's prediction

However, TikTok users spotted some errors in the world famous time traveller's video. It appears the celebrations footage used is from Richarlison's first goal against Serbia in Brazil's opening match at the World Cup.

Brazil could still face France in the World Cup final due to the way the bracket is shaped up.

The Samba Boys will cross swords with either Netherlands or Argentina in the semi-final if they get past Croatia, while France will play Portugal or Morocco should they beat England in the quarters.
