Ozil fiercely defends Ronaldo
Mesut Ozil in a message shared on his social media platforms lashed at the media for using Ronaldo's name to get clicks and pundits using him to revive dying career.
"He is soon 38 years old - so what's the surprise that he doesn't score 50 goals a season anymore? Every football fan out there should be happy to have seen him playing world class football for 20 years." Ozil wrote.
Ronaldo is currently without a club after his Manchester United contract was terminated. He reportedly has an offer worth £200m from a Saudi club.
Portuguese FA refutes fake news
Sports Brief earlier reported that the Portuguese FA refuted a fake news circulating in the media that Ronaldo wanted to leave the country's World Cup camp in Qatar over disagreement with the coach.
