Erling Haaland has been sending messages of support to England star Jude Bellingham at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup being hosted in Qatar.
Bellingham and Haaland were teammates at Borussia Dortmund before the Norwegian secured a big move to English Premier League champions Manchester City last summer.
According to Goal, the 19-year-old English midfielder revealed Haaland has been in constant contact with him, sending him encouraging messages prior to England’s World Cup matches.

“He's always really encouraging. He messaged me before and after the first game just saying, 'good luck' and then he said, 'well done'. He's a top guy.”
Bellingham has been one of the standout performers for the Three Lions at the World Cup having notched up a goal so far in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham has revealed the story behind his now-iconic celebration with Jordan Henderson after the pair combined for the first of three goals against Senegal, Daily Mail reports.
After Henderson's first-half goal against the African champions, Bellingham placed his forehead on Henderson's in a celebration that has now gone viral.
The 19-year-old went on to say that he hoped to have shared a small piece of Three Lions World Cup history with supporters by encouraging them to talk about the notorious celebration "for a long time."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has admitted that the club is interested in signing Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The 19-year-old midfielder is having an outstanding World Cup, having scored one goal and provided two assists in four games.
Premier League duo Manchester City and Liverpool, alongside Spanish giants Real Madrid, are also reportedly ready to scramble for the Dortmund star.
