Al-Khelaifi also mentioned Bellingham's calm, relaxed and confident nature at the Mundial.

Madrid lower Bellingham interest

Daily Mail reported that Real Madrid are unwilling to pay Dortmund the £130 million the Bundesliga club are asking for Bellingham.

Real Madrid were the favourites to sign the youngster in the upcoming transfer window, and the player was reportedly keen to join the La Liga champions.

Despite being their top transfer target, Madrid are not keen to fork out that much money. The news will be a boost to club like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Where next for Bellingham?

The attacker’s future at Borussia Dortmund is still in the air, Sports Brief has reported.

Bellingham has been linked with moves to numerous clubs, while his former teammate at the Bundesliga club, Erling Haaland also wants him to join him Manchester City.

Madrid are said to be unwilling to pay the club's valuation of the player, but his showing at the World Cup could only make that valuation far higher come the end of the tournament.
