Video has emerged on social media where Spain international Gavi was spotted retaliating on the pitch after being shoved by Morocco's captain Romain Saiss.
The incident happened during the 2022 World Cup round of 16 encounter between Spain and Morocco in which the African nation qualified for the quarterfinal after winning on penalties.
In the 77th minute, Saiss was running to the referee to make a complaint, and thereby shoved Gavi in which the Barcelona youngster turned back to face the Moroccan.
Spanish defender Jordi Alba intervened immediately and pushed Gavi away.

What was the result?
The game ended goalless after 120 minutes before Morocco went on to win 3-0 on penalties to set up a quarterfinal clash with Poland.
Portugal on the other hand defeated Switzerland 6-1 in their own round of 16 game with Goncalo Ramos netting hat-trick.
Details about Gavi
Gavi started his career at La Liara Balompie, a club in his hometown, where he spent two years, between 2010 and 2012.
From there he moved on to Real Betis's youth academy, where he spent two seasons.
He has been with Barcelona since 2015 and got promoted into the main team in 2021 and has so far featured in 48 games netting two goals.
