- France are filing a complaint after a last-gasp equaliser by Antoine Griezmann was disallowed
- Griezmann scored eight minutes into stoppage time but an offside call saw the goal cancelled
- The French went on to suffer their first loss of the 2022 World Cup to Tunisia on November 30
France are seeking that FIFA reinstates Antoine Griezmann’s disallowed goal against Tunisia, after Didier Deschamps’ team suffered their first loss at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Atletico Madrid forward thought he had grabbed a last-gasp equaliser against the Carthage Eagles, after he was set up with Aurelien Tchouameni.
Griezmann was adjudged to have been offside however, after a video review. The French Football Federation (FFF) believes the referee and the VAR made a technical error in the process, ESPN reports.
"We are writing a complaint after Antoine Griezmann's goal was, in our opinion, wrongly disallowed. This complaint has to be filed within 24 hours after the final whistle."

The FFF has written to FIFA requesting they restore the Griezmann goal and award France a 1-1 draw with Tunisia.

Meanwhile, Jules Kounde says Griezmann’s success at the World Cup, playing in the midfield for the French national team, has come as a surprise, Goal reports.
Griezmann has been impressing for France in an unfamiliar midfield berth at the Mundial, with the attacker filling a deeper role under Didier Deschamps.
Griezmann has helped Les Bleus to back-to-back victories over Australia and Denmark in the Middle East, with the defending champions already safely through to the last 16.
